Richland County School District One (abbreviated RCSD One or "Richland One"), South Carolina’s fifth-largest school district, serves a diverse population of more than 25,000 students from urban, suburban and rural communities in the capital city of Columbia, South Carolina. Centrally located three hours from the beaches and the mountains of South Carolina, Richland One covers 482 square miles, operates 47 schools and employs 4,200 staff.
