Richie Purdy (born 12 March 1972 in Dublin) is a former Irish football player.
He made his League of Ireland debut for Home Farm against EMFA on the 6th of November 1988. He then signed for Dundalk where in six seasons he won the League in 1994/95 scoring 2 goals in 26 appearances. During his time there he was also the PFAI Young Player of the Year Winner in 1992/93 [1]
He then moved to Derry City where in his only season there he won another league in 1996/97.
He joined Shamrock Rovers in the summer of 1997 where he remained for four seasons.
He made 2 appearances for Rovers in Europe scoring once [2]
He was capped by Ireland at U15, U16, U17, U18 and U21 levels.
His son Daniel has played for Ireland U15s.
