Richardson's ray, Bathyraja richardsoni, is a skate of the family Rajidae, found in the northeast and northwest Atlantic, and Cook Strait in New Zealand, at depths of from 1,300 to 2,500 m on the lower parts of the continental shelf. Their length is up to 1.75 m.

Richardson's ray is a large deepwater ray of diamond shape, with a smooth grey-coloured skin.

Its diet is fishes and shrimps.

A horny egg case is anchored to the bottom by long coiled horns at each corner.
