For Richard Weston (1577-1635), see Richard Weston, 1st Earl of Portland.
Richard Weston (c.1733 - 1806) was an English botanist. Very little is known of his life; in 1769 he describes himself simply as "a country gentleman", and on his death in 1806, his obituary merely mentions that he was "formerly a thread hosier in this town (Leicester)". However, from the number of his published works, it is evident he had a very wide knowledge of plants, and plant literature.
