Richard T. Hanna

Richard Thomas Hanna (June 9, 1914 - June 9, 2001) was a U.S. Representative from California.
Born in Kemmerer, Wyoming, Hanna graduated from Pasadena Junior College, Pasadena, California. B.A., University of California, Los Angeles, California. LL.B., University of California, Los Angeles, California. He was a lawyer in private practice. He was in the United States Navy Air Corps from 1942 to 1945. He served as member of the California state assembly from 1956 to 1962. He served as delegate, Democratic National Convention, 1960.
Hanna was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-eighth and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1963-December 31, 1974). He resigned on December 31, 1974. He died on June 9, 2001, in Tryon, North Carolina. Cremated and ashes scattered in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of North Carolina.
