Richard Steel was the guitarist for Spacehog & Morningwood. In 1993 in Manchester he played guitar on the Mercury Music Prize nominated, Sundiver album, Cautionary Tales, along with John Grant (producer, drummer) who had played with Richard in goth band, Ghost Dance. Other personnel featured on the album were John's brother, Pat Grant (bass guitar); Andrew von Melchior (keyboards) ex The Hollow Men and currently manager of Marlon Richards; Don Durham (singer/songwriter).
