Richard Ronald John Copeland (1884–1958) was the president and chairman from 1913 of the Spode-Copeland firm of bone china manufacturers in Staffordshire.

Copeland was the second son of Richard Pirie Copeland (High Sheriff of Staffordshire in 1902) and grand son of Alderman W T Copeland. He was educated at Harrow and in 1915 married Ida Fenzi, grand daughter of Sir Douglas Strutt Galton.

- Member Committee of Pottery Section, Royal Society of Arts;
- Chairman Executive Committee Stoke-on-Trent Children's Convalescent Home;
- President of the North Staffordshire Boy Scouts' Association;
- Freeman of the City of London;
- Prime Warden of Goldsmiths' Company;
- High Sheriff, Staffs, 1939;
- President Staffordshire Society, 1951
- Donor of the Kibblestone Hall Estate in 1954 to the North Staffordshire Boy Scouts' Association.
