Richard Ord (born March 3, 1970 in Easington, England) is a former English professional footballer best known for his time with Sunderland, for whom he played from 1987 until 1998. He currently works for soccarena in Durham City.
Ord attended Easington Comprehensive School.[1] He was a highly rated Centre back who could also operate on the left, his most notable achievement being in 1996 when he won the Division One championship with Sunderland. He joined Queens Park Rangers FC from 1998 to 2000, but due to injury never played for the first-team.Ord had a brief spell as manager of Durham City FC.
