Richard O'Callaghan (born as Richard Brooke in London, England March 7, 1940) is an acclaimed English film, stage and television character actor.

He is the son of the actress Patricia Hayes and Valentine Brooke. He has led a versatile career in film, stage and television in a wide range of roles. He took over the role of the clumsy but sympathetic romantic lead previously played by Jim Dale, in the Carry On films Carry On Loving (1970) and Carry On at Your Convenience (1971).
