Richard Lipez (born November 30, 1938 in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania) is an American journalist and mystery author. Richard currently resides in Massachusetts[1]. He is most known for his Donald Strachey mysteries, which were originally published under the pen name Richard Stevenson.

Lipez is openly gay.[2]
