Richard Daniel Roman (born March 16, 1965) is a British songwriter and record producer best known for his work with major Latin Pop artists.
He was born in London, the son of Andalusian parents and educated at the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School. In the early 80's he began to learn his craft at London's Cockpit Theatre Arts and Music Workshop alongside other fledgling songwriter/producers such as Guy Chambers. In 1992 Roman moved to Spain where he established himself as a major Latin Pop songwriter/producer working with some of the biggest names in the Spanish, U.S and Latin American music industry including legendary Mexican pop singer Paulina Rubio, for whom he wrote the song Vive El Verano, included on her multi-award winning, multi-million selling Grammy nominated album Paulina, and Brazilian icon Xuxa to name but a few.
He lives in Marbella, Spain and is a lifelong supporter of Arsenal F.C. and Real Madrid C.F..
