Richard Clarke is a Northern Irish football player playing for Newry City in the Carnegie Football League in Northern Ireland. Clarke has been named the captain in wake of the captain being linked with Sheffield United([1]), Bury([2]) and Barnsley([3])

Clarke, along with teammate Stephen Garrett, was given a call up to the Northern Ireland Under 23 squad, in light of his inspired performances during the 2007-08 season as Newry City's captain.
