Richard Bass

Richard Bass (* December 21st, 1921) is the owner of Snowbird Ski Resort in Utah. He and his family also have significant oil and gas holdings in the western United States. A graduate of St. Mark's School of Texas and Yale College, he has long been a local and national civic leader, having been on the Boards of multiple organizations, including the Yale Corporation.
Bass was the first person to climb to the summits of the tallest peaks on all seven continents and at one time held the record for being the oldest person to have climbed Mt. Everest. Details of his adventures were described in a book that he co-wrote, Seven Summits.
