Richard Baneham is an Irish animator trained in Ballyfermot Art College. He moved to L.A. 13 years ago with his girlfriend, and now wife to pursue his career. He's most famous for his work as animation supervisor on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King where he oversaw the animation of the character of Gollum. He has previously worked as animator on several films including The Iron Giant and as animation supervisor on Cats and Dogs. He also worked with Rhythm and Hues on The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
