Richard James Allen (born June 4, 1902, date of death unknown) was an Indian field hockey player who competed in the 1928 Summer Olympics, in the 1932 Summer Olympics, and in the 1936 Summer Olympics.
He was a member of the Indian field hockey team, which won the first three consecutive gold medal between 1928 and 1936.
In 1928 he played five matches as goalkeeper. No goals was scored against him.
Four years later he played one match against United States as goalkeeper. Americans scored one goal against him, while he was off the field signing autographs.
In 1936 he played four matches as goalkeeper. One goal was scored against him.
