Richard A. Friedman

Richard Alan Friedman, M.D. is Director of Psychopharmacology at the Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic and the Weill Cornell Medical College, where is a professor of psychiatry. He is an expert in the pharmacologic treatment of mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder. He writes regularly for the science section of the New York Times.

Dr. Friedman is a graduate of Duke University and the medical school at Rutgers University.
