Ricardo Sousa

Ricardo André do Pinho Sousa, or just Ricardo Sousa (born 11 January 1979 in Porto) is a Portuguese footballer. He currently plays in Germany with Kickers Offenbach, in the role of attacking midfielder. Growing up as a footballer in FC Porto he never played however for their first squad, and went on to represent Boavista FC and Beira-Mar, and, from 2004 to 2006 (which included a six-month loan in 2005 to De Graafschap in Holland), the German side of Hannover 96. In July 2007 he was released by Boavista and started his Cypriot adventure in AC Omonia.Up to December however he has played only 2 matches making him the biggest transfer failure of Omonia this season although he promised a good second year in the club.
Ricardo Sousa represented Portugal at the 1999 FIFA World Youth Championship, and he is the son of former Portugal great António Sousa, who played in the 80's for FC Porto and Sporting CP.
