This is an iconic image of Richey James Edwards
It is discussed critically within the article
It is a well established event in and of itself
No free image could be made since this is an important document in and of itself
It is a low resolution scan of the photograph, and would not impact on the copyright holders ability to commercially exploit the image
Such is the impact of this photo that the the discussion over whether to run it or not was released as a bonus track, "Sleeping With The NME", on the charity single Suicide Is Painless, a double A-side with the Fatima Mansions, released to raise funds for The Spastics Society, now known as Scope, in conjunction with the NME.
