Ribeira do Julião (in Cape Verdean Creole, written in ALUPEC: R’bera d Julion) is a ribeira (stream) that flows in the northcentral part of the island of São Vicente in Cape Verde. The stream is entirely dry and flows only during rainy weather even a few days later due to its climate with lack of vegetation.
[edit] Geography
The ribeira begins in the west of the island's summit, Monte Verde, the river passes through the road connecting Limeirão and Madeiral. It enters the dry lands and through the eastern part of Mindelo in which housing arrived in the 1990s and 2000s and continues to grow, it enters several systems of hills and into a small forest as well as the island's industrial area or park, it empties into the Canal de São Vicente at Mindelo's beach near the road linking São Pedro and its nearest airport and the downtown core.
On the ribeira's flow features several smaller ribeiras that are limitedly flowed during rainy weather. Only a few bushes lie within the ribeira as well as a few trees and groves near the hills.
