Ribchester Cricket Club

Ribchester Cricket Club, sited near Preston in Lancashire, England, were formed in 1946 and joined the Palace Shield, the major local league competition, in 1996.

The club's nickname is the "Romans", as Ribchester village on the River Ribble is the site of the remains of a Roman fort built to protect the crossing of 5 major roads. The club plays in Division 4 of the Palace Shield and the Boddington's Wednesday League, of which they were champion won in 2000.
