[edit] Fishing
Once a year there is a fishing championship at Riba-roja, for the rest of the year you can enjoy fishing both in the reservoir and down the river. The river mouths of the Cinca, Segre and Matarraña rivers are surrounded by a forest and beautiful scenery. In the middle of the reservoir you can see the bell tower of the town of Fayón, which became submerged with the damming of the river. Riba Roja is near to Ascó, and Vinebre both of which are also becoming extremally well renowned for excellent fishing amongst the locals who often try to avoid the more commercialised, heavily fished areas. Links to fishing guides in the area can be found on the Catalonia pages. The whole area is mountainous.
