Information was taken from Device, the retrospective book published in 2002. I've included details of his early days in the 1980's, his design work for the comics industry, expanded the comics bibliography to include non-2000 AD work and included a couple of images.

I'm aware this is something of an information dump - tidying would be appreciated!

I think the entry would benefit from sections about Hughes' font design and advertising work and his influence on other designers in the 2000's. While I think his work in comics is very important it does not reflect the work Hughes is doing at the moment. This is not my area of expertise though.

[edit] Zit

198.240.128.75 kindly turned Zit into a link for Zit (comic) but this is a different publication. The latter was a newsstand humour magazine whereas Hughes' Zit was a small photocopied zine-type publication. So I changed it back. You weren't to know! Peteashton 23:27, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
