Inhabitants of Riantec are called Riantécois.
As of the census of 1999, the town has a population of 4,765.
The village sits on "La Petite Mere de Gravre" with fine views across the bay.
The housing is neat without high rise or extensive development, a sleepy little village in a pleasant setting.
