Ria Oomen-Ruijten

Ria Oomen-Ruijten (born 6 September 1950 in Echt, Limburg) is a Dutch politician and Member of the European Parliament. She is a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal, a member of the bureau of the EPP-ED group, and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Employment and Social Affairs.
She is also a substitute for the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality and the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, a member of the delegation for relations with the People's Republic of China, a substitute for the delegation for relations with the United States, and a member of the temporary committee on policy challenges and budgetary means of the enlarged Union 2007–2013.
