Rhytida meesoni meesoni is a subspecies of small, air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusc in the family Rhytididae.

This subspecies of land snail is endemic to the South Island of New Zealand.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is larger than the living adult size for Rhytida australis, with deeper whorls, and less prominent malleanations, crossed by weak irregular axial folds and growth-lines. The shell coloration is greenish-olive, and the umbilicus does not have a brown zone.
The shell diameter is up to 18 mm, and height up to 10 mm.
