"Rhythm of My Heart" is a rock song written by Mark T. Jordan and John Capek for Rod Stewart's 1991 album Vagabond Heart. The song is the album's opening track, and was released as its first single. The single reached number 3 in the UK chart and number 5 on the US chart.
The song is thought to have been written about Newfoundland and Labrador after he played a concert at Memorial Stadium in St. John's in August 1989.[citation needed]
