Rhythm Festival
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Rhythm Festival is an outdoor music festival held at Twinwood Arena in Bedfordshire, England, during August since 2006[1], and promoted by Twinwood Events. Performances take place in three venues: the Main Stage, the Alternative Stage, and a smaller one. In 2007 Rhythm Festival was put forward for five categories in the UK Festival Awards[2]. The festival has attendance of approximately 5000, and (according to director Jim Driver) aims to be smaller than events such as the Glastonbury Festival and the Carling Weekend, and "aimed more towards the customer". In an interview with the BBC in 2006, Driver claimed to that "The musical policy of Rhythm Festival 2006 is simply to feature good music"[3]. Weekend tickets in 2006 were £75 for adults and £59 for 12-17 year-olds.
