Rhinelander's Debate Team is also known as one of the best teams in Wisconsin. On December 8th, 2007, Rhinelander took 2nd place in The Tournament of Champions in South Milwaukee. Ryan Gittins and Joel McReynolds were the winning affirmative team, paired with Eric Kirby and David Walters, the winning negative half. They won all six of their debates, but ended up taking second due to speaker points. Rhinelander's debate team is currently lead by Mrs. Angela Schaffer.
