Rhian Denise Ramos (born on October 3, 1990 in Makati City, Philippines) is a very controversial young starlet and commercial model of Welsh-Filipino descent.
In June 1, she made a seemingly rehearsed emotional appearance in Showbiz Central trying to dispel the accusations of being benefited by the fact that the President of her mother network's Artist Center is her Aunt, Ida Henares. A lot of loyal GMA network's fans question the fact she's getting more work more so than other artists from the station who are more talented, more popular and have more fanbase. They question her stature enough to even create a petition, boycotting Ramos and her Aunt.[1]. She had a great fair share of other issues with other female artists from her home network as well including Ara Mina and most recently with one of the country's young prime actress - Alessandra De Rossi, springing originally from her intense sarcasm and supposed bad attitude behind the camera. Recently, she was caught and accused of manifesting grotesque profanities towards fans and visitors of her Facebook online profile. [2] Ramos will star La Lola in the mid-2008.
[edit] Career
Rhian Denise Ramos Howell or Rhian Ramos for short, made an abrupt transition to show business when she was cast as one of the female leads of the popular fantasy-action-drama TV series, Captain Barbell. It was through her McDonalds McJelly Trio TV Commercial that she was noticed by film producer Annette Gozon-Abrogar. She also starred in Lupin also with Richard Gutierrez. Her biggest break was My Only Love along with Mark Herras as her leading man. She recently signed a Full Time year Exclusive contract with GMA Films. She's also a niece of GMA Artist Center's head, Ida Henares.
Chinese Fashion Association, with the help of her powerful Aunt chose Rhian Ramos (her cousin and VJ at QTV 11, Steph Henares, StarStruck graduates Arci Muñoz, Rhea Nakpil, and beauty queen Abigail Cruz), to represent the Philippines in Guangxi, China for the 3rd Asian Supermodel Contest, from May 16 to 25, 2008.[3][4]
