[edit] Biography

Born June 24, 1984 in Guyana with her parents and two brothers, her family relocated to Toronto, Canada in search of a more fulfilling life. Rhea, 24, began her singing career, entering and winning dozens of Canadian talent shows and contests, seemingly overnight. She trained classically and later on decided to pursue contemporary music. Rhea attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree in 2000 focusing on performance, songwriting and music business. After graduation Rhea decided she was ready to get into the thick of music’s epicenter and made her solo trek, leaving family behind, to New York City.

[edit] Music career

Since Rhea’s move from Canada to the US she has had the opportunity to work with Grammy award winning, Grammy nominated and platinum producers and writers such as Eric Sanicola, Trackmasters, Uness, Ryan Leslie, Mysto & Pizzi, Troy Oliver, Harold Lilly, Jack Knight, Andre Diego and other producers. She also recorded tracks with artists such as Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G, Lloyd Banks, Black Rob, 8 Ball & MJG, Keith Sweat, Atiba, Red Cafe and Kardinal Offishall.

[edit] New Media

Rhea has received a lot of popularity from her online reality blog aptly titled RE/TV. Rhea is one of the few artist's that allow access to her life and inner pursuits via video post's that occur 3 times a week. This model seems to be the model practiced by many Next Selection artist's like Cassie, Ryan Leslie, and Mysto & Pizzi although Rhea has shown consistency in putting up new episodes while her peers update their blogs sporadically.

[edit] Other works

Rhea appeared on television and radio commercials promoting products such as Pantene, Fresca, Yoplait, Lens Crafters, Elexa, Tanqueray TJ Maxx and Fanta. Diet Pepsi also chose her song, "Come & Get It", for their coveted 2006 Super Bowl commercial which aired starring Jay Mohr and P. Diddy.

Rhea also recently teamed up with Luxirie by L-R-G Clothing which is a female urban clothing line. Rhea can be seen wearing their garments in most of her rehearsals, radio interviews, and autograph signings.
