Portal talk:Rhetoric
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a portal I'm starting for my graduate course to develop. Hopefully, this will blossom into a wonderful resource for anyone interested in the history of rhetoric and rhetorical theory. --Matt 21:08, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Any Ideas?
Does anyone have any ideas about the best way to expand this portal? What could we offer here that would be the most valuable to students and teachers of rhetoric? --Matt 03:23, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
I think a few possible extensions would be feminist rhetoric and contemporary rhetorical theorists as categories (the latter could go under Rhetoricians). The feminism page is already rather extensive, and many of the figures on there (for example, Cixous) could be considered rhetoricians. A list of contemporary rhetorical theorists would provide a link to the past and also to rhetoric and composition (if they were also composition scholars). --gkerkvliet 2:12, 15 February 2006
