RGIS LLC., originally named Retail Grocery Inventory Service, specialize in inventory services. Since the turn of the Century RGIS have been expanding outside of the borders of the US and can now be found in every inhabited continent. Since expanding they have also broadened the services that are on offer, branching into service[2] and merchandising as well as store mapping and layout development.
In March 2007, Blackstone Group Acquired a controlling interest in RGIS.[3]
