Rezé is a commune in the département of Loire-Atlantique and the Pays de la Loire region of France. It is the second-largest suburb of the city of Nantes, and is adjacent to it on the south, across the Loire River. In the 1999 census, Rezé had a population of 35,478. Its land area is 13.78 km² (5.32 sq mi).

Rezé dates back to the Roman era, when it was known as Portus Ratiatus. It was inhabited by the Ambilatres, a Gallic tribe and was an important port on the southern shore of the Loire River, used as a place of commerce by several tribes in the region.
