Born on May 14, 1964, Reynaldo Acosta was officially diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome in March, 1999, following a battery of tests at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Reynaldo has spoken to many groups in South Florida and has provided them with information about Asperger's syndrome, which at that time was hardly heard of, yet they would be no explanation for the types of behavior, emotional reciprocity deficit, and other aspects of Asperger's syndrome.

Reynaldo has received some college education and has the level of education that would be equivalent to a senior in college. However, Reynaldo's official level of education is 56 college credits -- just under the 60 and is required, plus other required courses that must be taken prior to graduation.

Reynaldo has worked in more than 30 jobs between his age of 16, when a worked at a fine French restaurant which he has just found out was closing, until about his 39th birthday when he returned to school to try to finish his education.

Reynaldo has founded a nonprofit organization which has been organized to provide advocacy, counseling, and other services to persons with Asperger's syndrome and autism related disorders. Raised enough money we can provide services including diagnostic testing, internal investigating, job coaches, and tutors.

During his course of working, he has gained experience in the medical field, behavior science field, mortuary field, laboratory field, and forensic sciences field. The objectives of the nonprofit organization includes providing counseling services, social services, and group counseling/activities.
