I added information to two articles, both biographies. One is that of James Oppenheim, the other is that of George Washington Rappleyea.
I'd like to mention that the entry about "Barbary Pirate" seems to lack objectivity. Although those pirates were, according to the article itself, put out of business with the French conquest of Algiers in 1830, the references include recent publications, probably slanted in an anti-Moslem way, to support the Bush Administration's "Crusade" for Mid-East domination.
Especially questionable is the reference to a 2005 article in the "National Review," a magazine of politically slanted commentary.
The Vikings also captured Christians and sold them as slaves to the Moslem countries. Sir Francis Drake was a privateer against the Spanish. Also the famous poet Longfellow portrayed "Simon De Danser" as a hero, in his poem titled "Dutch Picture." It began,
"Old Simon Danz is home again,
From cruising about with his buccaneers, He singed the beard of the King of Spain, And carried away the Dean of Jaen, And sold him in Algiers..."
I have to go eat lunch, now.
