[edit] Bakolite

On the Tantrix article you removed the word Bakelite (used in its generic sense as the name of the material). In your edit summary you said you did this because your company had been told to stop using the word by someone who claims to hold the trademark. It was my understanding that in much of the world Bakelite has become a genericized trademark and was therefore unenforceable. Could you identify the company that has asked you to not use the name.
It should be noted that even if a company had a legally enforcible trademark, that does not legally stop people from using it as a generic name for the material, it would only stop other companies from selling products under the name. —MJBurrageTALK • 14:49, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
