Rex D'Souza

Rex D'Souza (born 1981) was one of the three finalists of Fame Gurukul, one of the most watched television shows in India in 2005. The show's premise was to select a pair of India's best singers/performers.

On Fame Gurukul, Rex was characterized as having a good mixture of charisma, singing and confidence. Rex D'souza won the support of many fans due to his personality and talent, which earned him the title of Mr. Gurukul. Through the 4 months spent on Gurukul, Rex received enough criticism to have him voted off the show. However, because of the support he received from his numerous fans he acquired enough votes to earn a spot back on to the show.[1]
In the final show the three remaining contestants battled to become the top pair. D'Souza would finish behind Ruprekha Banerjee and Qazi Touqeer.[2]

From July to August 2006, D'Souza toured the US as part of the "Fame 2006" tour organizd by Mr. Natwar Thakkar along with former co-contestant Qazi Touqeer and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 winner Debojit Saha, Mandira Bedi, Ahsaan Qureshi.[3]
