The Transformers: Revelations is intended to be a comic book miniseries, published by IDW Publishing, based on the Generation One Transformers and following on from The Transformers: Devastation.[1] Unlike previous IDW G1 titles, which were 6 issues each, Revelations will consist of four interrelated The Transformers: Spotlight issues. Cyclonus and Hardhead were confirmed by IDW editor Chris Ryall on his blog [2], while writer Simon Furman confirmed the other two recipients as Sideswipe and Doubledealer on his blog. [3] A follow-up entitled The Transformers: Expansion was planned[4] but has now been cancelled [5].

[edit] Publication

The first issue of the four, Cyclonus, will be published in June 2008. It will be written by Simon Furman, with art by The Transformers: Devastation artist E.J. Su [6]. Nick Roche will provide alternate covers [7], as well as interior art for the Hardhead issue. [8]. Longtime Hasbro Transformers Collectors Club artist Dan Khanna will provide art for the Doubledealer issue [9].
