Spongebob Squarepants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman is a video game released in 2002 by Nick Games, THQ and Blue Sky Interactive. As the name implies, it is based on the Spongebob Squarepants T.V. Show and the antagonist is The Flying Dutchman.
[edit] Plot Summary
When Gary finds a Treasure Chest, Spongebob can't read the slightly dust-covered warning on the lid and so opens it, accidentally releasing dubloons and The Flying Dutchman upon Bikini Bottom. Now it's up to Spongebob to recover his seven treasures and save the town and his friends (who are gradgually hypnotised by the dutchman to become part of his ghostly crew as the game progresses.)
[edit] Characters
Spongebob Squarepants - This is you. He accidentally releases the dutchman and must now try to trap him back in his bottle.
Patrick Star - He appears briefly working for Mr. Krabs (this is actually Plankton in a robot Krabs) who is intercepting Mr. Krabs' home delivery hotline so that Patrick can deliver the food dressed up in a Krusty Krab outfit before Spongebob to loose the Krusty Krab money.
Squidward Tentacles - After the actual Krusty Krab Restaurant closes to make way for the home-delivery service, Squidward starts a yard sale to make ends meet. This is where you get the book about evil spirits and the "acorn" from.
