Brian Darling is a fictional character on ABC television series Dirty Sexy Money. He is played by Glenn Fitzgerald.

[edit] Role in the Series

In the beginning of every episode of Dirty Sexy Money, Nick George sarcastically refers to Brian as "the Man of God."

A priest in the Episcopal Church, Brian Darling is married and has twin daughters. In the pilot, however, it was revealed that he had an illegitimate son, Brian Jr., who was forced into Brian's custody when Brian Jr.'s mother Andrea fled to Brazil to visit the Iguazu Falls. It soon became clear that Brian often feels out-of-place in his own family, resented Devlin "Dutch" George's influence on the Darlings and, as a result, has hated Nick all of his life. He was the loudest protester in hiring Nick as the family lawyer, but has since then come to rely on Nick for legal counsel and, surprisingly, a calming voice of reason. He is currently separated from his wife, following her discovery of Brian Jr.'s true paternity, and has moved back into the Darling mansion. Andrea soon returned for Brian Jr., resulting in a custody battle that Brian ultimately lost because he tried to bribe a court official.

It was eventually revealed that Dutch and Letitia Darling's decades-long affair resulted in Brian's birth, making him Nick's half-brother. This information left him and Nick reeling, but also with a tentative truce as they try to figure out to what extent they can be family. In order to provide Brian some connection to Dutch, Nick gave him a watch that had been passed down to George sons for over a hundred years. Brian in turn gave the watch to Brian Jr., as he was leaving the country with his mother. Brian has quit the church and decided to work for Tripp. [1]
