[edit] Choir Locations
There are currently choirs in:
Abroad
There may also be choirs re-starting in Bangor, Liverpool and Hull in September 2008. Everyone is welcome no matter what their ability, talents or beliefs. The aim is to create an environment where friendships can be built and hidden abilities drawn out; Revelation is more than just a choir.
[edit] Organisation
Revelation is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers. The head of the charity is known as the National Co-ordinator (NC). The post lasts for two years and is currently held by Hannah Collins. The national charity exists to support the choirs. Choirs operate independently, but are all represented at regular meetings informing the future and direction of Revelation Rock-Gospel Choirs. The choirs often invite other choirs to their events and attend national and regional events with other choirs.
The main national event is the annually held "Week in March" around the Easter holidays, with attendance from all the member choirs and held in different place each year.
[edit] Repertoire
Revelation is not only limited to music, but "other performing arts", which usually includes dance and drama, though these are always secondary to the main focus of singing.
Music is usually traditional gospel and gospel arrangements of popular and classic pieces.
