Realms of Kaos: Revolution

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Realms of Kaos: Revolution was a graphical MUD in development. In April of 2006, Realms of Kaos: Revolution (RoK: Revolution) was created by several former staff members from the original Realms of Kaos. The intention of Realms of Kaos: Revolution was to continue from where the original "left off" in 2005 and attempted to duplicate majority of the items, rooms, monsters, and quests from the original. The basic structure of the two games was essentially the same although it was speculated that they would both evolve into two distinctly separate versions.

The two games began to deviate significantly beginning in April 2006. RoK: Revolution was maintained and developed by a team of coders along with a start-up staff of Administrators, Wardens, Graphic Artists, Writers and Builders, the majority of whom were long-term staff members from the original game.

Players could participate in the game's development through the "Suggest an Event" program wherein players could develop in-game events to be promoted and run by staff. These were also subject to approval.

As of July, 2007 the game was no longer in development, and the server was no longer running.

As of April, 2008 the game's website was no longer available.
