[edit] Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday!

I saw your name on the birthday committee list, and since you haven't been congratulated, I figured I'd be the first!

Anyway, have a good one. Jaredt  18:50, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:CVU status

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Delivered on behalf of xaosflux 16:48, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Israeli film

As yet the page hasn't had development so things haven't developed. But when all the films are added the template will link decades together. Please see Template:Israelifilmlist now for the eventual idea . Hey my grandfather was Jewish. He is mentioned in the article Jennifer Sullivan. HIs middle name was Reuban!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 17:32, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

It would be used to connect the list articles together e.g l;ike:

Give me a little time to add all the A-Z of Israeil films to the lists and it'll look like List of Italian films soon enough. Promise - You see I'm trying to list and document most of world film here I started the List of American films , List of British films, List of French films etc the whole world lists -i'll get to Israel eventually as I did List of Filipino films the other day but if needs be I do the Israeli list asap. All the best ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 17:53, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

I think you'd be as surprised as me. According to imdb there are 1900 odd titles but even if only 1000 of these are notable for the lists that would make well over a 500kb single page when the details are added!!! I'll format A now and gradually do this soon . Cool ? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:07, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

This will then be the necessary step for getting Israeli cinema covered entirely on wikipedia. ONce all the films and actors are red linked on the pages, some wiki guy can clean through them making sure they all have articles resulting in several thousand new articles for Israel hopefully. I want to see globally even coverage on wikipedia so some guy in Tuvalu knows every single thing about the world that he wouldn't normally get to know about. Adios y saludos ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:15, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

OK i've laid a foundation now. IN the next few days I'll add films D-Z , put all in alphabetical order and gradually add the details and eventually fill in all the red links. PLease feel free to add to the lists by general tidying and alpha order. Its under way anyway ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 20:47, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hey pal

Hey Reuven:

Hope school is going well for you.

Just wanted to let you know the Senior Issues class is no longer co-ed, that is why someone keeps changing the Maimo wiki entry to reflect the change.

All best,

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Lego_Mindstorms_NXT_Robot.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Lego_Mindstorms_NXT_Robot.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 23:30, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User talk:Itshappyday

Hi, I removed a pre-existing personal attack by accident on the Itshappyday's talk page, and then decided against it. Cheers! --Bradeos Graphon Βραδέως Γράφων (talk) 23:26, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

No harm done, I'd actually let myself get distracted for a bit, went and got some coffee, and when I came back to the computer I was under the impression I was looking at an article talk page, not a user talk page, and zapped it. Then when I got my new screen I saw it was User talk:Itshappyday after all not Talk:Ilchi Lee and reverted myself. Most of the users whom that particular vandal insulted seem to have left the attack on their userpages (I removed mine when he got me), so I didn't want to go against the user's apparent wishes. --Bradeos Graphon Βραδέως Γράφων (talk) 23:35, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yeshivat HaKotel copyvio response

Why did you change Hakotel's information back to outdated information? The yeshiva has nothing to do with Rav Bina anymore. Get over it and go edit Netiv Aryeh's page instead —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.98.199.109 (talk) 03:48, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Chushi abba.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Chushi abba.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:34, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Pigua pics

Thanks for getting us incredible pictures of last week's pigua. How did you manage it? If we cultivate such contacts, we can make so much more free media. -- Y not be working? 21:52, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 198.237.103.101

Yes, I incorrectly entered the IP at Wikipedia:Abuse_reports#New_alerts, and it created the new page. I didn't notice what I had done until after I'd saved it. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 17:09, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Not at all. Your note clarified exactly what I had done, and didn't come off as rude at all. I was just about to add a speedy delete template, but when I hit save, I found it had already been deleted. You guys are on the ball! Maybe the box at Wikipedia:Abuse_reports#New_alerts could be even changed to avoid a careless mistake like this in the future? - TheMightyQuill (talk) 17:16, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Tantus and Conversation with User:O-Ring

Why was the page inappropriate? —Preceding unsigned comment added by O-Ring (talkcontribs) 00:25, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

How do I add a source? —Preceding unsigned comment added by O-Ring (talkcontribs) 00:32, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Thankyou, I have created the page again and added the website, but have not used one of the templates yet as they are a bit overwhelming. As it stands, do you think it is going to get deleted again straight away? —Preceding unsigned comment added by O-Ring (talkcontribs) 00:41, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

I think the main thing that makes them notable are that they are a market leader for high-quality silicone toys (that is their marketing differentiator). I have also added a source from MSNBC that might help. O-Ring (talk) 00:56, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

I will do that, thankyou for your help. O-Ring (talk) 01:05, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Thankyou although, to be honest, other people did most of the work with making the article look better. I am going to try to find a clearer source for the fact that they are the biggest producer in the US, the one there at the moment is just a footnote at the bottom of an article. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:ArtScroll logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:ArtScroll logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 08:41, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
