Reunited refers to the return of original vocalist Paulette Carlson to the group after an absence of six years, during which Nikki Nelson fronted the band for two albums. It was not exactly a complete reunion of the original quartet, as by now original drummer Cactus Moser had also left. By now the band had already lost much of its original fan base and was having trouble selling records. In order to inject some of the band's past magic into the album, four of the twelve tracks were actually old hits taken straight from the band's first three albums. The eight new tracks seemed to lack the punch of their previous material.
