Talk:Responding to Conflict

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have permission of the copywrite owner to use this material. I am the Finance Manager of this organisation and have discussed the matter with the Director.

Greetings. Having permission to use text on Wikipedia is not enough, I'm afraid. Since Wikipedia is released under the GFDL, we can only accept material that is free for anyone to use for any purpose. (See Wikipedia:Copyrights for more.) If Responding to Conflict wants Wikipedia to use the material, the text will have to be released under a free license. This could be noted on the RtC homepage itself, either saying that the text is licensed under the GFDL, or else saying that anyone is free to use the text for any purpose (including modification and commercial use). Alternately, the copyright-holder or its representative could email permissions@wikimedia.org, stating that the material is released under the GFDL, and that anyone may use it for any purpose. If this is done, the text could be re-added; but we forewarned that it would probably be edited to make it more neutral. All the best, – Quadell (talk) (random) 21:43, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
