equations would be nice
[edit] Re:Article split?
I totally agree with an article split. In general, I believe that "resampling" methods need to be distinguished from "interpolation" methods. Interpolation should be defined in the function space to be a little more general. Resampling should specify the cases where the function is a constant. I would personally keep audio and images together since the equations are the same with the note difference that one applies the algorithms in 2 dimensions where as the other does so in one. They are both sampling cases. I would also suggest that this happens to the BiCubic interpolation. Ti chris (talk) 08:51, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] DSP vs. stats
I can flesh out an article on resampling as in DSP. Resampling as in statistics I don't know much about, but I bet it will end up wanting to be a separate article. Well, how about I get a DSP article up and then worry about splitting. Eub 04:39, 18 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Article split?
I am open to splitting this article into Resampling (audio) and Resampling (bitmap) (or something similar). I find a little too many articles on image scaling/image resampling (Image scaling, Subsampling, Pixel art scaling algorithms at least), some of them should be merged and that would be easier if image resampling/image scaling/bitmap resampling could be its own article. --Berland (talk) 05:48, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
