[edit] Contradiction with new policy creation

This page sternly instructs not to post unless there is a active disputes over a policy between two users, while Wikipedia:How to create policy suggests getting an RfC on potential policies as a matter of course. One of the two should be changed but I'm not sure which one. Is "Request for comment" only used for dispute resolution or is it more general than that? —JwandersTalk 22:06, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] PROD removal

Can we remove the PROD entry from the list? It's official policy, and so I doubt it needs further comment. --maru (talk) contribs 05:39, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Two separate systems?

There are entries manually added to this page. However, the page specifically says to not manually list entries. Additionally, the pages grouped under the template were not listed. As a temporary solution, I have made two sections. However, this needs to be resolved so there is a single coherent system for handling policy RfCs. Vassyana 18:15, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

I don't know why there are manual listings. Those should be converted to automated listings -- when the bot was first implemented, Betacommand switched the existing RFCs to the new system. MessedRocker (talk) 18:27, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
This has to be just an oversight. The page should contain {{RFCpolicy list}} and little else. I'll remove what appear to be dead discussions from the "manual" list and add the live ones to RFCpolicy list.--Father Goose 18:32, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Y Done All the manual ones were inactive, resolved, or already added to the templated list anyway.--Father Goose 18:43, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Fast work! Thanks! :) I wasn't too sure of exact situation myself, so I was a bit wary of being as bold as to remove the manual list entirely. Vassyana 18:49, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Can I get some advice first?

Via email if you don't mind. Thank you--mrg3105 (comms) If you're not taking any flak, you're not over the target. 09:54, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
