[edit] Francis' outside view

I will endorse RfCs for the other specified users (namely Asteraki, Vergina, and Makedonas), provided we have separate statements in separate RfCs with adequate evidence of disruptive behavior and warnings (God forbid, I'm not disputing the possibility for such disruptive behavior to exist, but I do want to see what evidence may be collected before I express such an early endorsement based on a short summary without any diffs at all and in the wrong place).

However, I find that their listing here is totally out of place. This RfC is not supposed to create neiter an ill-perceived sense of "balance", nor a false presumption of "common practice", which would both serve as "excuses". I am sure that in the future when we examine those other users, these "excuses" will be promoted to "precedents", so this is also partly unfair for them, and beneficial for the user in question.

Again, if you have doubts about the good faith of this comment, kindly refer to the bolded part above. NikoSilver 15:29, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Rock on. You're welcome to comment on the RFC for Vergina — although he hasn't been around for a few months, I think its good to bring it up at the same time as his userpage is inflammatory and previous behaviour has been entirely contrary to policy. I wasn't listing them as an excuse, I was merely making the point that users such as these don't really belong on Wikipedia. - Francis Tyers · 16:18, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
I endorsed Fut.Perf's position, and added a comment which I consider sine qua non. NikoSilver 22:48, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Francis, for some reason(?) you neglected to include some others that you definitely know of. Your excuse is therefore not very convincing. NikoSilver 01:13, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moved here from main page

[1] (from FunkyFly's endorsement of Francis' outside view:)

FlavrSavr, we'll continue to bring this edit of yours everytime you claim something about nationalism in Wikipedia. Also, as an admin in mk.wiki, you seem fairly complacent with this blatant lie (4 million ethnic Macedonians, and same ethnic group for Gotse Delchev and Alex the Great). [...]   /FunkyFly.talk_  16:06, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

The fact that this comment is off-topic is correct. The grounds for being off-topic, is obviously that it refers to other users not involved in this RfC, while it also includes inadequate proof for whatever it aims to point out. Does that ring any bell for other such comments? NikoSilver 22:49, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Update

Following this exchange, I've blocked Macedonia for a week for repeatedly lying about alleged licenses for unfree images. The images in question have been deleted. And following the emerging consensus here and the apparent silence of Macedonia on that account, I'm going to delete his user page now. Fut.Perf. 23:52, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

You can bet he has the code saved and will try to reinsert it in some form.   /FunkyFly.talk_  23:59, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Do you think he will accept in changing his inflammatory country/region/province/thema/provincia/diocese/kingdom name? Is there any other way to change your username than willfully? What do you see as an alternative if he refuses for the third time? NikoSilver 00:38, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
You forgot the gourmet.   /FunkyFly.talk_  01:36, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Update RFCN

New update: Since the user has no intention to respond here, I have placed a WP:RFCN for his username. Please participate with your opinion. NikoSilver 23:38, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
