[edit] On the timing of this RFC
Orangemarlin concurs here[1] with Dave souza here[2] that my working with Rockpocket, who has adopted me, seems to be a more constructive alternative at this juncture than the RFC. I have been adopted by Rockpockethere.[3], in a process that I initiated per the suggestion of Durova here.[4]
The incidents involved occurred before Durova's suggestion. I respectfully request that Jim62sch and Guettarda consider this alternative at this stage, for the good of the community. Infinite Improbability Drive 17:00, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] On the evidence section
Procedural comments regarding the automatic numbering and the difficulties involved in referring to specific items. More specifically, as new items are added, referring to items by numbers that may change becomes confusing. Consequently, on a purly procedural note, it would be helpful if the items had fixed references that do not change as items are added. E.g., instead of [link], it would be less confusing as responses to specific pieces of evidence are made to be able to refer to items listed as [link MANUALLY_GENERATED_REFERENCE] where MANUALLY_GENERATED_REFERENCE is based on some scheme, e.g., A01, A02, A03....B01, etc. In that manner, I would be able to write something like this:
Re: [B02] see this hypotethtical diff R01.
Put another way, is the evidence section going to be closed at some point, at which point, responses to specific pieces of evidence can be made by reference to the automatically generating numbers without risk of confusion? Thanks. Infinite Improbability Drive 17:10, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- The evidence section does not get "closed." Arbustoo 17:47, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
