Wikipedia talk:Requests for checkuser/Case/Frater FiatLux

- I'm the blocking admin. It would have been nice if I had been informed about this request, as apparently my neutrality is being questioned. At any rate, I think this request is unecessary, as I blocked Kephera975 based on an evaluation of the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Kephera975. Which account is the master and which the puppet is also irrelevant, as both were operated concurrently over a long period. --Akhilleus (talk) 03:51, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
- I also object to the characterization of my actions in this dispute. I filed the sockpuppet report solely because there was strong evidence of sockpuppetry. Like most regular editors, I encounter content disputes regularly. It takes a lot more than a content dispute for me to suspect sockpuppetry. It requires 1) several brand new users coming into the dispute and doing no other editing 2) a pattern of evidence strong enough for me to believe there may be sockpuppetry. Sometimes the reviewing admin doesn't agree, and I am learning as I go how strong the evidence should be. You will also note that I filed the previous request for checkuser to try to clarify the matter without filing a further SSP report, but it was declined. I believe I have strictly followed process in this matter and accucations of retaliation are misplaced. IPSOS (talk) 12:47, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
